Fomena District Hospital

Partnering with NMS Infrastructure, we delivered comprehensive MEP works for the Fomena District Hospital in the Adansi North district of Ghana's Ashanti Region, completed between 2022 and 2024. This 10,000 m² public healthcare facility — comprising 12 single-storey blocks including two operating theatres — was part of a broader NMS Infrastructure initiative to expand quality healthcare access across West Africa, underpinned by UK Export Finance support. Our scope covered plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, low-current installations, and dedicated ICT infrastructure, deploying healthcare-grade equipment and climate-appropriate design approaches throughout. The Fomena District Hospital was delivered alongside a parallel NMS programme in Ivory Coast, where DOUMMAR also contributed MEP works to two additional regional hospitals, reinforcing our commitment to sustainable healthcare infrastructure across the continent. Projects like these reflect our belief that technical excellence should serve communities directly — improving lives and expanding access to care in regions where it matters most.
